Sports at Avenida Houston

Avenida Houston, downtown’s epicenter of dining and entertainment, is home to three Houston sporting venues and four professional sports teams: Houston Astros (MLB), Houston Rockets (NBA), Houston Dynamo (MLS) and Houston Dash (NWSL). With so many great events to choose from, it’s a good thing Houston sports fans are not shy about showing their love for their favorite hometown teams.

Houston Astros

Check out the 2022 World Series Champions – Houston Astros. Head over to Minute Maid Park before a game to watch batting practice. Or, get some Astros gear from the fan shop to suit up and show team spirit.

Houston Rockets

Next to Avenida’s Hilton Americas-Houston is the Toyota Center, home of the city’s championship basketball team, Houston Rockets. Arrive early to watch team warm-ups, grab great food, settle in and enjoy the game in the 18,000-plus seats arena. 

Parking/Transportation: Avenida South Parking Garage or METRORail. 

Houston Dynamo / Houston Dash

Houston Dynamo and Houston Dash take on the nation’s top soccer clubs at Shell Energy Stadium, located in Houston’s EaDo. Just a block away from Avenida Houston, crowds flock to fill the stadium with orange jerseys and cheer on their favorite players.
