AANHPI Amplified at Avenida Houston

Due to severe weather, all events scheduled at Avenida Houston this weekend have been cancelled. This includes POTP on Friday night (5/17) and AANHPI Amplified on Saturday and Sunday (5/18-5/19) evenings.

Celebrate Houston’s vibrant Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) communities at Avenida Houston on Saturday, May 18, and Sunday, May 19, 2024, from 7 to 9:30 p.m. As part of its commitment to promoting the city’s diversity, Houston First Corporation proudly presents this free cultural celebration to amplify AANHPI’s voices through traditional and contemporary dance, musical performances, and art.

This year’s AANHPI Amplified will include a range of traditional and non-traditional musical performances on Avenida’s main stage. CBC Band, a popular Vietnamese band, and an Indian music duo, Acoustic Bollywood, will perform on Saturday and Sunday, respectively. Dance of Asian America (DAA), a Chinese dance group, and Island Breeze Band, a Hawaiian group band with Tropical Rhythms, will provide one-of-a-kind dance favorites. The fun-filled, family-friendly evenings offer something for people of all ages and backgrounds to share and create wonderful memories.
