Discover Houston Music Showcase

This fall, Discovery Green is reconnecting Houston’s talented musicians with local music lovers! By popular demand, the Discover Houston Music contest and showcase is returning to the park.

Houston bands have been invited to nominate themselves to perform at the Discover Houston Music Showcase on November 15, from 7 to 10 PM, coinciding with the opening of the Green Mountain Energy Ice at Discovery Green.

Arrive early— the first 50 people in line at 5 PM skate for free, and the music kicks off at 6 PM.

Don’t miss the chance to stroll through ATLAS by Jen Lewin, as the winter art installation also opens that evening.

Parking and Transportation

Guests coming to performances can find garage parking in the Avenida North and Avenida South parking garages, located at each end of the George R. Brown Convention Center More information on rates and transportation can be found here.
