The 18th annual Tour de Houston will celebrate its 12th year with Apache Corporation as the presenting sponsor on Sunday, April 13, 2025. The event introduces a refreshed route with three different distance options, catering to families, casual cyclists, and those training for the MS 150.
Event Overview:
- Location: The ride starts and ends at Discovery Green and Avenida Plaza in front of the George R. Brown Convention Center.
- Route: Cyclists will journey through Downtown Houston, Memorial Park, Tanglewood, Piney Point Village, Bunker Hill Village, and Briar Forest, extending to Highway 6 before returning downtown.
Ride Options:
- 45-Mile Training Ride: Ideal for those preparing for the MS 150, beginning at 8:00 a.m.
- 20-Mile Intermediate Ride: For experienced riders and fitness enthusiasts, starting at 8:30 a.m.
- 10-Mile Family Ride: Suitable for all ages and skill levels, kicking off at 9:00 a.m.
New Features This Year:
- Rest Stops: Enhanced with live music, entertainment, bike racks, seating areas, refreshments, bike mechanics, and medical support.
- Post-Ride Celebration: At Discovery Green, offering food, drinks, music, and an expo with local cycling partners and bike clubs. Participants will receive a commemorative t-shirt.
